Pastor

David Beckworth has served as pastor of our church since 1989. He earned a B.A. from Howard Payne University, an M.A. from Rice University and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brother David and his wife Cindy have two married daughters. They also have two sons and a daughter still living at home. Brother David is available for prayer and ministry needs.

Our committees or teams are established to perform vital functions in the life of our church. If you have specific questions, the team leader [listed in brackets] would be a good source of information:

BUILDING AND GROUNDS [ Shelby Brady]

oversees the maintenance of our Church buildings and grounds.

CHILD CARE [Sandy Bingham]

manages nursery facilities and arranges child care for regular and special activities of

our Church.

FELLOWSHIP [Karen Cagel & Mickey Johnson]

responsible for the planning, serving and clean-up for all Church-wide meals.

FINANCE [John Watson]

monitors the financial resources and records of our Church; plans, presents and

executes Church budget; oversees receipt and expenditure policies of our Church.

FUTURE PLANNING [Tom O’Connor]

maps out both short- and long-range plans for our Church’s ministry and resources.

MEDIA [Larry Stewart]

responsible for maintenance of audio-visual equipment as well as media production

and presentation.

MISSIONS [Allen Pate]

manages our Church’s direct mission endeavors and support; promotes mission

fundraising; oversees mission funds.

NOMINATIONS [Randall Johnson]

develops slate of volunteers to staff positions of leadership in our Church, including

general officers, Sunday School teachers and both chairpersons and members of

standing committees.

OUTREACH [Randall Johnson]

manages our Church’s evangelistic outreach to the immediate community.

PUBLICITY [Carin Simmons]

relates to the process of making the community aware of our Church’s ministries and

events.

RECREATION [position open]

develops organized recreation opportunities for our Church.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS [Ann Watson]

beautifies the worship center and assists with arrangements for regular and special

services.

USHERS [Randall Johnson]

oversees hospitality and order for our worship services as well as safety for all who

attend.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY COUNCIL [Cindy Beckworth]

develops discipleship and ministry opportunities for women in our Church and

community.

YOUTH [Shawna Novak]

oversees the direction of Junior and Senior High ministry activities in our Church.
